We are a trusted, locally owned pet waste removal service offering residential and commercial cleanings in Rockingham County, Harrisonburg, Augusta County, Staunton, and town of Shenandoah. From recurring to one time cleanings and dog waste station servicing, we strive to do our best at every job. We are not perfect, so if we do fall short we appreciate the opportunity to make things right. Our motto for all we do is based in Colossians 3:23-24. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” What we do may not be glamorous, but how we do it speaks to our beliefs, so we take pride in our work. Meet The Founders.
We are Shawn and Rachel Gordon
Shawn and Rachel Gordon are the Owners and Operators of Duty Cleanup since its establishment in September 2024. Shawn moved around quite a bit as a kid and young adult, spending a majority of his time here in the Shenandoah Valley. His background is in maintenance and handyman services, amongst experience in other trades as well. As Owner-Operator, Shawn manages the day-to-day operations of our service business, procures equipment, oversees maintenance, and heads up sales. Rachel was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley and the reason Shawn moved back to the area (and proud of it!) after their marriage in 2018. Her background is in administrative office and financial management. As the Owner-Operator, Rachel oversees all the backend administrative tasks, budget, customer service, everything in between, as well as assisting in sales. Outside of Duty Cleanup, Shawn and Rachel love raising their kids, enjoy spending time outdoors (kayaking, canoeing, swimming, gardening, playing sports, and the list goes on), and pursuing other business endeavors.
